Is rice good for health?

White rice goes through several steps of processing in which the hull (the hard outer layer), bran and germ are lost. In fact, the germ layers have the most nutrient dense composition with ample vitamins and minerals, but in the process most essential nutrients are lost and this is why white rice lacks nutrition.

Thus, white rice lacks bran and germ and contains only endosperm, which is further processed to enhance its taste, shelf life and improve cooking qualities. Also studies show that white rice is nothing but empty carbs. However, white rice is sometimes fortified with vitamin B and minerals like folic acid, niacin, thiamine to name a few. But is it unhealthy for heart health?

White rice lacks nutrients and has empty carbs. However, when it comes to understanding the link between rice and cholesterol, experts believe that white rice is cholesterol free. According to the U.S Department of Agriculture it is believed that the cholesterol in foods can negatively impact the cholesterol in the blood. This is one of the reasons why it is essential to know the cholesterol in food.

Pringle’s new chip flavor tastes a spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy!YUM!

Around this time last year, Wendy’s blew our minds when it partnered with Pringles to unveil Baconator-flavored chips. The brands somehow packed so many elements into one bite. The two are back at it, but this time with Pringles Spicy Chicken chips, inspired by Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich.

If you go to Wendy’s and order the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, you’ll get a bun that includes a marinated chicken breast that’s breaded with a coating that includes fiery peppers and spices. It’s then topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. So how are those ingredients turned into Pringles? The goal was to replicate the sandwich, and that was done by layering in the flavors and bringing a spice blend that will deliver that heat.

BLUE BELL ice cream just released a new flavor!

“A sheet cake is simple, but so delicious,” Sara Schramm, the marketing brand manager for Blue Bell, said in a statement. “It is the perfect cake to combine with our Milk Chocolate Ice Cream. Sprinkle in pecans, add a swirl of chocolate icing, and you have one great-tasting new flavor.”

While Blue Bell’s latest offering is not modeled after Ree’s own famous chocolate sheet cake recipe, it still sounds pretty darn delicious. The new flavor is available in stores now for a limited time, so you can try the winning combination of cake, ice cream, and pecans for yourself

Ice cream fanatics should also keep an eye out for Blue Bell’s Southern Blackberry Cobbler, which will be returning to stores for a limited time this month. The fan favorite flavor is made of “a creamy ice cream with a luscious blackberry flavor combined with flaky pie crust pieces and a blackberry sauce swirl.” Yum!

some of worst foods for your heart

What’s on your plate can help maintain your cardiac capacity. “Heart-healthy foods contain nutrients that have been shown to benefit the cardiovascular system or reduce the risk of developing heart disease by lowering ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol and blood triglycerides, reducing blood pressure, controlling weight and/or improving insulin sensitivity,” says Rania Batayneh, MPH, the owner of Essential Nutrition For You and the author of The One One One Diet.

Omega-3s, potassium, calcium, magnesium, fiber, phytonutrients and antioxidants earn top marks in these categories, making the Mediterranean diet and the DASH diet top choices for those seeking to maintain or improve heart health.

Science backs up this premise: A menu centered around produce, whole grains, nuts and beans, plus a little dairy and heart-healthy fats can help reduce your risk for cardiovascular disease by about a third, according to a 2016 study in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. How to make Hummus

Chickpeas (or garbanzo beans) are the base for hummus. The softened beans breakdown into a smooth paste. You can use canned or home-cooked chickpeas in our recipe. Some use them interchangeably and give home-cooked chickpeas a slight edge when it comes to the flavor

Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds and it makes the hummus taste incredible. You can buy tahini at the store or you can make it yourself. To make hummus that’s 100% from scratch, we use homemade tahini. It’s ridiculously easy to make it by yourself.

Fresh lemon juice is really important for excellent hummus. Bottled lemon juice does not taste nearly as good.

Fresh garlic adds a little spice and zest. add one small clove and find it’s just right. You can also experiment with using roasted garlic for a roasted garlic hummus

Ground cumin and salt help to make it taste amazing and the cumin adds a little more spice and richness.

And finally, Olive oil makes the texture of the hummus luxurious. You can also add a little drizzle to the top of the swirly hummus when you serve it.

Best Italian pizza at all!

There are so many fantastic traditional dishes in Italy, but perhaps no other sums up the very essence of Italian cooking better than Pizza Napoletana. History, simplicity, and fresh, high-quality ingredients – all come together to create what many consider the perfect and most authentic type of pizza.

Invented in Naples somewhere between the 18th and 19th centuries, Neapolitan pizza is basically a flatbread topped with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and extra virgin olive oil. In reality, making a true Pizza Napoletana is an art and requires much more than just 3 or 4 simple ingredients.

The tomatoes must be grown in the volcanic soil of San Marzano sul Sarno, a small town near Naples, while the dough must be made with specific ingredients, formed by hand, and crowned only with D.O.C. Mozzarella di Bufala Campana. Furthermore, this type of pizza must be baked in a wood-fired oven that uses two types of wood at 900 degrees for 60-90 seconds. Nope, that’s not something you can order at 4 am at your door, during a Netflix session.

There are three official versions of Pizza Napoletana, but Margherita is the most famous. The legend says that this classic dish in the colors of the Italian flag was created by Neapolitan pizzamaker Raffaele Esposito in 1889, when Margherita of Savoy (Queen consort of the Kingdom of Italy) visited the city.

Nowadays, Neapolitan pizza is protected by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and is reason enough to visit Italy’s third largest city.

Jamie’s famous recipe steak Seranie

Alongside chasing turkey twizzlers out of school dinners, Jamie is famous for his Italian and American inspired dishes, but it’s his classic, rustic and simple steak sarnie (from his Meals in 30 Minutes book) that remains his signature dish.

Method:

Season the steaks with the salt, pepper, thyme and olive oil before pounding the meat tender. Place the steaks on a preheated hot griddle pan and cook them for one minute on each side for medium rare.

Let the steaks rest on a clean chopping board and season again before finely chopping your bell peppers and parsley. Mix the peppers and parsley with the juices of your steak, which should be on the chopping board.

Slice the steak and add to the parsley, pepper and juice mix and place on top of a toasted ciabatta loaf spread with olive oil. Place rocket on the other half of the loaf for a perfect steak sarnie.

How did Salt bae get so rich!

Nusret  Gökçe is nicknamed by salt bae he is a Turkish chef, he is well known by sparkling salt on his miraculous food, salt bae is the internet’s sexiest butcher. With his left hand he grabbed a $130 ribeye by its bone, and with his right, sliced off the medium-rare meat in a single swipe. He cut the steak into strips, his hips moving in rhythm with his knife. Then, the moment everyone had been waiting for — he sent a flourish of salt cascading from the palm of his hand, down the length of his arm and onto the perfectly seared steak. Nusret Gokce’s rise to Salt Bae stardom began on January 7, 2017, the day he posted a 36-second video to Instagram titled, “Ottoman Steak.” In the clip, Gokce performs his signature moves, slicing a bone-in steak and ending with his patented sprinkling of salt. According to Bustle, within moments, the Twitter universe discovered the video and ran with it. The next day, Bruno Mars tweeted a picture of Salt Bae with the caption “Annndddd I’m out,” and a meme was born. Within 48 hours, the post had 2.4 million views. To date, the post has 16,154,893 views. Gokce grew up the son of a miner with four siblings. At 13, he began working long hours as an apprentice to a local butcher. He spent the next decade working at Turkish steakhouses. The internet fame struck. Barely a year after that day in January, Gokce now has 13 restaurants around the world, from Abu Dhabi to Miami, and over 600 employees. The names of those who have eaten at his restaurants read like a who’s who of pop culture: from Drake and DJ Khaled to Odell Beckham Jr. and P Diddy. He has been featured in dozens of articles, fawned over on late night television, and in Melbourne, Australia, there is even a mural of him — Gokce is pictured, frozen mid-salt, in his cobra-style pose.
